Will this work for the sides and top?

I removed the back window on my 2003 Camry (it was leaking). I found areas with rust that is hard to remove to get to the original urethane. I am considering just sanding it down to the metal. If I do so, how should I prepare the surface before applying the urethane? Any suggestions?

no no no, the last thing you want to do is to chew up the metal bracket. torch it a bit longer and use a safety razor blade to cut it off

I’m currently doing this wire method for the first time, without the windshield suction. Using 140lb fishing wire (not line, but wire) from bass proshop; about halfway through, and have had 0 breaks in the wire. I did slice ~1/2cm of plastic trim in the beginning on accident… first time I’ve ever tried this so think I’m doing decently.
